Nigeria are facing their former coach Gernot Rohr as the two sides meet in the bid to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria will be at home at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, a venue where they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bafana Bafana in a 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier in June.

The Super Eagles are under interim coach Augustine Eguavoen after German Bruno Labbadia withdrew from his appointment as Nigeria's coach.

The Cheetahs have won their last two games and that could give them confidence going into Saturday's match.

Steve Mounie will captain Benin who will be banking on his experience to lead them in such a big game.

Interestingly, Benin and Nigeria are in the same group in the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

The two sides met in June and the Cheetahs beat Nigeria 2-1 in Abidjan where they are hosting their home games.
